Update

Thought I'd post an update on all things raining around here!
1. Ma Ma is a little worse, she is using the breathing mask all day long. BUT: she has the Roscoe children around: Annie and her daughter, Evie, Rachael and her kids, Aunt Mattie all came and are taking shifts to give Aunt Emily and Uncle Langdon/Aunt Barbara a break. They had been dividing the day between them. The girls leave Sunday, and Aunt Mattie leaves Wednesday. MaMa is still her happy, positive self.
2. Kris is about the same: his MS has a/effected (I think its affected? I can't remember: school me Oh English majors) his strong side this time. He's having trouble with his leg and hand: they're numb and tingling, and weak. He's had to start using the walker again, but hopefully not for long. He's on the highest dose steriod they can give him via IV. Last dose tonight, then a tapered oral dose for 3 days. We are praying for a speedy recovery as we have tickets for a 7 day Cruise from Charleston Feb 17! (Happy 30th to me!) Sorry for the long link! Its going to be fun! Its a smaller ship, tiny rooms, but the price was right and the destinations are great! The reviews said as much, and said get used to saying: Honey, can you sit on the bed so I can get by! HA!

3. I have the plague. Well, almost. This is the nastiest cold I've had in ages. My head literally makes noises from all the drainage: it sounds like little people are inside whimpering...maybe thats me, I don't know. I tried the tactic I used to get my doctorate today to get through the day at work: positive thinking: I don't have the plague, I can get up, I will go to work, I will not pass out, I will stop coughing all over everything, I will have a voice that is understandable, I will stop hacking...I will go home and go to sleep...(All my patients had sympathy and sent me home!) I worked the weekend, but took Mon/Tues off as I found it difficult to get out of bed...(PT's never say can't) Kris is sleeping in the other room and taking VitC and Zinc to help him not get this (at work they call it Carolina Crud). Seriously, I am getting somewhat better(I think I can, I know I can) and trust that this whole experience is God's will and we will grow and learn from it. I continue to be strengthened by my devotions and my friends. Thank you for your comments and emails: they help so much!
4. Bella is my constant companion and is having sympathy symptoms: she threw up too, she sleeps alot in my lap or on my feet. Every once in a while she'll get a burst of energy and run around, then crash! (I think her ears are plugged up too)She also makes a game out of finding any kleenexes I drop and shredding them into lint! She has also brought me bones she's previously chewed in case I wanted to hold them for her (I started this when she was a puppy: it was so cute, now she won't chew most of them unless I hold them...) She and the internet have been a great source of amusement. I admit I've watched some mindless TV: lots of decorating shows and lifetime stuff. I did see the Janet Oake latest story, Loves enduring promise or something similar(I've now seen all 4). I've also found a home I'd like to live in in Florence: (not going to happen) But it was fun to look and pretend.
Hope all is well with all of you! I'll keep you updated!

Liz-I'm so excited for you-a cruise for your 30th-how wonderful!!! Are you staying in an oceanview room? Y'all are going to some great places-have y'all already booked excursions?

And the house is nice too-are y'all thinking of moving to Florence?

Sad to hear that Mama is having to use oxygen all day now, but it is amazing what good spirits she's in. When we saw her Sat, she was just smiling away.

And we'll be praying for a speedy recovery for Kris!

Oh, I wanted to let you know how to do your links, so you don't have to write them all out on your posts. First when you're writing your post, highlight the word you want to link (in this post, it probably would be cruise and house), then click on the green guy (3rd one over) on your post page. A box will come up and ask you to type in the URL. Once you type that in (or paste the link in if you've copied it), click ok, and it's done. That way, people can just click on the one word and be automatically connected to the site you want them to see. Hope this helps!

Thanks! I appreciate all your tips: I'm too lazy to read the help section or click on any buttons myself...It is quite easy now!!! Glad to have a new tool at my disposal. Thanks Supermom!

You're 30th birthday present sounds great!!! Y'all are going to have so much fun!! (I always wanted to go on a cruise so you'll have to tell me all about it!) Allen called me tonight and was talking wedding plans. I told him that a cruise would be a nice honeymoon and that some leave out of Charleston, so you'll have to give reviews when you get back.

I sure hope you get to feeling better and Kris recovers very soon! Praying for you guys and your Ma Ma.

Maddie is also a great sick Buddy! Any kleenex on the floor are in her territory and are subject to shredding :)

I love the house in Florence...not just because it's close to me, though :)

I just heard the latest on Ma-Ma...she's off oxygen and doing much better, at least for now. They're talking about starting therapy, so it's sounding good.

Your cruise sounds awesome!! I hope neither you or Kris gets seasick... :) Maybe you will be inspired to write some nautical poetry for us while at sea...

Laura, I never knew it was that easy. I've been doing it the longhand way by copying and pasting code (a la Jeffrey). Thanks!
