Adjusting to Florence

What a wonderful month it has been living here in Florence. The town has grown and is lovely, easy to negotiate, and full of young families, not old cranky retirees...hehehe No seriously...
Kris and I feel like newlyweds all over again! We spend so much time together here! We get up in the morning together, he usually takes me to work, picks me up, and sometimes even comes to get me for lunch too! We then do everything together after work: shopping, groceries, Abbie's, meals, and go to bed at the same time! In our marriage, we've never been able to do that due to jobs, school, or his illness. Now, 10 years later, we're so appreciative of our togetherness. We've even started playing chess at night. I like the looks of the chess table, but don't love getting slaughtered by my sweetie EVERY time!
We had a nice settling in time, I'm adjusting to my new job well, and baby Faith is here! Sam is adjusting as well as can be expected, the grands (both sides) are coming to help ALOT, and Kris is doing great with his mobility and even driving me to work!
I was able to have Father's Day here, and see my niece and nephew at least every other day. I can't even imagine how tired Abbie is: every time I go over to help and everyone lies down, Faith needs something I can't give her or Abbie can't sleep! So she must be beyond exhausted, but is handling it beautifully.
They've had a good 2 weeks of adjustment, and now Jim has a course in Columbia, so Abbie is taking the kids to Sumter to stay with her mom for a week. I'm going to miss them next week, but our good friends Donna, Jerry, and Bella's boyfriend Tank are coming to help us with our recent beach homesickness. It never felt this hot at the beach, as there was that vital ocean breeze...So we're staying indoors alot. And to be honest, we get home from Abbies or work and are exhausted! But of course I then imagine how tired my best friend is and try not to complain.
