All moved in...
I have so enjoyed God's path for us this spring. It has been busy, but not stressful. It is amazing how He worked out all the details: from the big ones to the very smallest. And with absolutely no help or input from me. Amazing huh!
I've been so busy with the moving and settling in process that I've had no time to really miss the (unavailable)internet until this week. I'm getting to the end of the boxes and saying goodbye to our first home at the beach, and miss my friends, my time to reflect on happenings, and updates. So: here is the long version of what's been happening.
1. The movers came and packed us, moved us, unloaded, put things together, and left us well on the way to settling in. McLeod handled it all and it was so nice to not have to lift or pack anything.
2. I've been action packed busy with family obligations including Abbie's shower (I'll post pictures when someone sends me some, as I forgot my camera), Mother's day, babysitting Sam (So much fun), and visits from my family.
3. We received two offers on the beach house the day after moving out (we cleaned it til it sparkled for 16 hrs) and returned yesterday for a final spit shine and clean out. We hope to close next week. Bella was so happy to see the old house, but especially the neighbors. We still think of it as home, but are beginning to settle here. We haven't met many of the neighbors, as most of the homes on our street are new and not sold yet. But we will.
4. I have loved not having to work throughout this process, but I have to begin my new job next wednesday. They have been WONDERFUL with moving us, all kinds of incentives, and better benefits. I'm looking forward to working for such a nice place to work.
5. Kris saw a new neurologist who is very good, has tons of MS experience, and very straight forward. He said Kris was the worst 31 yr old he's seen and would reccommend the drastic scary Tysabri treatment (it either helps or kills you) we had ruled it out last year. The scary part is that he's seeing Kris at the best he's been in 3 years! So we're praying for guidance in this matter and would appreciate your prayers.
6. Bella is depressed. She misses her friends, doesn't love the new house yet (maybe b/c of the 10 squares of grass she has to pee on in the backyard) and is sleeping or licking at all times. Oh, except when Sam and Abbie come over. She and Sam have so much fun running around the house and playing. She perks up intermediately with special toys or foods, but lapses back into "poor me, I have no friends" pretty quickly. She sure is the socialite, just like the books say.
I'm having fun decorating and finding new spots for old things, and learning to just be happy with what I have and not long for new things. I have a tendency to decorate, redecorate, and constantly change things. I'm learning there are better uses for my time, and I don't have to be constantly busy. One of my prior clients sent me a very good book I'm trying to absorb: Sabbath by Wayne Muller. I just started it last night and am already thinking about how busy I let myself get with so little rest and reflection of God and what really matters. And I'm not even done with the first chapter!
There is so muc more to tell you all, but it will have to wait. I'm going to take lots of pictures of the house and yard tomorrow and post them. A picture is worth a thousand words!
Talk to you all soon!

I'm so glad the move has gone smoothly! I can't wait to see pictures...and hopefully a personal tour of your new place once y'all get settled :)
Poor Bella. I bet she looks so pitiful...I'm sure she'll get herself settled soon, too.
I'll be praying for ya'll...
We're so close now! We have to get together at some point! Lets plan something soon.
