A Little Abbie
Jeff sent me the middle picture of Abbie, and WOW! After spending hours staring at her precious face, I can officially tell you that Faith is the spitting image of Abbie! I'll try to get a similar picture of Faith tomorrow when I go over there! What do you think?
Yes I LOVE living so close and being able to bring them meals and try to play with Sam (he'll be two in a few weeks) who only wants his Da Da right now. He will play with Uncle Kris, but not so much with me. I'm tempted to bribe him, but am just waiting for him to come around. He did laugh hysterically with us at the dinner table tonight, and I did the Sound of Music Farewell song and dance (alone: gee thanks Uncle Kris) and got a good hug out of it...
Faith had her well baby check up today: the nurse comes to the house and checks the baby so you don't have to expose your infant to doctor's offices. I love McLeod. Jim goes back to work tomorrow, so the Shumakers are coming to the rescue. We are all a little worried about Sam when his Da Da leaves tomorrow. They've been literally joined at the foot...

Wow-that is really great-the nurse comes to your house for the first check-up! I didn't even get that special treatment w/my midwife who does well-baby visits too. That's really great of McLeod to offer that.

She is beautiful. I know you cropped the picture, but you look great in the picture of you holding here.
I am sure Sam will come around in a few days. It is an adjustment.

Oh my goodness...you're right, the spitting image of Abbie! With her height and Jim's, she's going to be a tall, beautiful girl some day. She's adorable. Thanks for sharing these pictures!

You asked about the blessing, and I'll ask Abbie if I can post it. In short, for both Sam and Abbie they wrote a prayer specific to each one and then a blessing that Jim read and prayed. It was so specific and special: for God to bless her, to be slow to anger, a hard worker, never take advantage of people, and more of their wishes for her, then prayers for them to be good stewards and help her grow to be a godly woman who serves God with her whole heart. Of course, it was worded much better and more touching (Abbie and I cried) but a wonderful idea huh!
I was curious about the blessing thing as well-what a wonderful idea. So sweet and so special!
Faith is beautiful and she really looks so much like Abbie! How special!
The blessing is such a sweet idea. Sam and Faith are blessed to have such godly, loving parents!!
