Laura's Surprise Shower
We had a lovely shower today, but with one major thing missing: LAURA! Unfortunately Laura, Willie, and Ella were all sick and unable to attend the shower. Boo. So I took extra pictures to post for her tonight!
We arrived at the shower and I was impressed to see how much the girls were able to get done with a house full of kids! There was quite a spread of food, punch, and of course presents. I was so glad to see most of the family: Emily, Jeff, and Benjamin (first time since his shower), Laurance, Kimberly, and Jonathan, Dayton, Erin, Grace, Isaiah, the twins Miriam and Shira, and Charles and his lovely girlfriend Sara. My mom, Aunt Em, Larry, Ma-Ma, Ruth, Laura, Matthew, and Lisa were also there. Unfortunately Jim, Abbie, Sam and Faith were also sick with that nasty stomach bug, yuck!
So, we had a nice time: played two games organized by Emily: Name an aminal for each letter of the alphabet (my mom the kindergarten teacher got each letter!) and name the baby name for the adult animal: kangaroo=joey and so forth (Erin won with 9 correct- I got 2!) We almost opened some presents, but decided to just open the one with tissue paper (happened to be mine!)
As an aside Emily and I realized that Kimberly somehow slipped into the family without her proper initiation with the Queen game and made plans to rectify that as soon as possible. It looks like me may need to bring Sara into the game as well. Ahh, new love.

Thanks so much for posting these! You took awesome pics. I just wish I could've been there! Boo-hoo-to miss my own shower-that really stinks.
By the way, you look GREAT! SUPER GREAT! We are really going to have to plan a get-together soon! I miss you.

I agree-- what wonderful pictures but sorry Laura and others could not be there! I know your family is enjoying everyone being together! What a blast with all the cousins!
