I can still post!

Oh my dear friends! I am finally emerging from the joy of having 4 extra people in my home, two of them screaming or crying most of the time (alternating between adults and children...) But it was overall a great experience, and I will miss them for the next few days as they enjoy Christmas in our home town...and I get to put my house in order.
So, if you didn't receive it already, here is my Christmas letter...to be followed tomorrow with some pictures of the new house decorated...in theory anyway.

Merry Christmas 2007!

You may have guessed by our new address, we have had many exciting changes this year. We began the year happy and comfortable at the beach. After a wonderful 30th birthday we enjoyed a spectacular cruise through the Caribbean. We were then led to move to Florence, SC: closer to my dear family and exciting new job at McLeod Regional Hospital. Because of God’s amazing timing, everything worked out quickly and easily. McLeod packed, moved, and unloaded everything to our new house across town from my best friend and brother! Our new house has been such a blessing: it is similar to our beach house only more accessible and located in the neighborhood across from the VA and neurology clinics Kris attends. We moved without our beach house being sold, but God was faithful and gracious: the day we moved into our new home our beach house received 2 offers and was closed in 3 weeks!

The next exciting change was the birth of our new niece, Faith. Kris and I were both able to be a part of the process, and have loved living in the same town as my best friend and brother and only 45 minutes from the rest of my family in Sumter. Faith’s birth was followed by our most exciting change: Kris’s remission from MS and ability to drive after 4 years of being my passenger! We were able to trade the van in for two vehicles, one being Kris’s dream truck. Having his independence back has been priceless, and he loves it here. He now goes hunting with my brother and loves being outdoors and doing manly things. We have made new friends quickly and even host a weekly game night. Our Bella has adapted well and loves her new backyard.

This fall has been full of family and more change. Kris began taking a MS injection called Tysabri that is pretty successful at keeping most people in remission. We have had visits from his parents including a nice thanksgiving, and most recently been able to house my brother’s family after their house flooded. We have been blessed to spend quality time with our new niece and nephew and love having them here. I will truly be lost when they leave.

So in summary, we turned another year older, changed jobs, towns, houses, vehicles, churches, and what a ride it has been! But we still serve the same God who is faithful and so incredibly merciful and gracious. We joyfully wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a Merry Christmas!
Love,
Kris, Elizabeth, and Bella

We did receive ours-thank you. And I'm too rejoicing for Jim and Abbie (and y'all)-that's crazy it took that long and from what I hear from Will (who went to their house tonight), the contractors didn't do a great job after all that!

Anyway, Merry Christmas, my dear friend! Hopefully, I'll see you sometime during the holidays.

It was great getting your letter! It has been a year full of blessings and changes for you all. It is great to look back over the year and see how God's worked things out. :) Maybe next year when I'm a little more on top of things we'll do a letter too...it's a great idea!
Love you and hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
